Paying For Your Coffee in Tokyo? Loser!
Ok, don’t say Billy W never did you a solid, cuz he’s about to do you one now.
Are you a coffee drinker? If you are, then you know what good coffee is.
But, just like any other addict, when you need a fix, you need one. And, there’s no time to be looking around for a gourmet coffee shop, especially in a city like Tokyo where a cup of the good stuff can easily run you ¥600 or more. Hey, does a heroin addict turn down a slam of Mexican Brown if there’s no China White around?
You get my point.
And, if you’re a coffee drinker like me, you’re the type that goes bounding through Shinjuku Station at rush hour with a cup of lead clenched in one fist, a satchel in the other, eyes bulging, teeth grinding, and a vein popping out on your forehead. Yeah, nobody who makes eye-contact with you stays in your way. And, God help those that don’t see you coming.
Anyway, let’s get to the point:
Burger King is giving away, this week only, free-coffee passes. Actually, the last day to get one is Thursday the 21st.
What does a free-coffee pass get you? Free coffee, bitches! Any weekday after 2pm, and you’ve got one of the better substandard cups o’ jo in good old Toh-ki-yoh.
And, the pass is good until June 30th.
Free coffee, bitches! Do you get what I’m saying to you?!!
Get your free pass or GTFO.

Good to know. Although the free-ness would be cancelled out by the impulse to buy a Whopper.
Another place that’s good for free coffee is the Kaldi import store. I always grab a freebie when I’m passing!

I agree with you. No matter the quality, you can’t pass up free coffee.

@Roaf:
Probably would be best to hit up BK for coffee after you’ve done your body a favor by eating somewhere else.
@Tornadoes:
I agree in general. It’s been said that there’s no such thing as bad pizza. Well, whoever coined that phrase obviously never tried some of the bastardized concoctions they serve up here. In line with that, you’d have to pay me to drink the free coffee available at my old workplace
@freedom:
Get there while the getting’s good, my friend.
@Blue Shoe:
Not a BK in Kansai?

“And, if you’re a coffee drinker like me”
Laughed when I read that.
Reads like:
“and if you love having whipped cream slowly licked off your knob by a hot chick like I do then….”
I guess I’m such a coffee junkie I never considered than anyone was not.
Iced Chai Latte and Red Bull are always finding ways to get with me

Nice, only problem is Burger Kings are a bit thin on the ground. Looks like there are a couple in Shinjuku but a bit off my usual routes.
There aren’t any outside Tokyo at the moment are there?

Billy dude,
One good tip deserves another - you know ’bout the Harimaya Free shops around Japan? Apparently there is one around the corner from Toranomon Station in The Big Mikan. http://gojapan.about.com/od/restaurants/p/harimayastationfreecakeinjapan.htm They serve char, too.

I like Japanese pizzas. They have great imagination in the variety of toppings served.
