Tokyo Blog Remake
Ok, Tokyo Filter has been around for a couple of years and this is the third incarnation of the site. However, it now serves as my blog, the same way 7:10 to Tokyo did.
The reason for the switch? Well, 7:10 was originally meant to be a blogazine with several contributors, and in the beginning, it was. But soon after launching the site, self-hosted Japan-themed blogs popped up everywhere. All of the regular contributors disappeared by the end of the first 8 months and other than an occasional guest post, it was pretty much the Billy W show.
Meaning, just another blog about Japan. Another lame-ass blog about Japan. Like that’s what the cybersphere needs, right?
Anyway, since 7:10 to Tokyo never lived up to expectations, and Tokyo Filter never went anywhere, I’m claiming the tokyofilter.com domain name for the new home of my Japan blog. Hope my blog friends will still follow me.

I’m definitely in the lame-ass, rather pointless blog category, but I think anyone who is a regular commenter/contributer in the blogosphere at some point feels the need to say who they are and what they do. Just helps to round out the username and basic profile for those like me who haunt so many blogs and websites about Japan.
I think the change of TokyoFilter to a personal blog makes sense as I only ended up reading your posts, to be honest. Just think of us who have never been to Japan - there is no such thing as too much writing being done by people living there!
